A morning visit to the historic 'gold-rush' town of Arrowtown. In Queenstown there are many optional attractions and adventures to partake in. This evening, a relaxing cruise aboard the historic coal-fired steamer, the "SS Earnslaw" will cross the lake to the "Walter Peak Sheep Station" for dinner and a sheep dog demonstration.

Today's journey take you to "Fiordland National Park" and Milford Sound. Enjoy a luncheon cruise while watching for seals sunning themselves on the rocks. Overnight in Te Anau.

Travel past deer and sheep farms on the way to the "Scottish town of Dunedin" for a lunch stop. View the "Moeraki Boulders" as well as the white stone buildings in Omaru before arriving into Ashburton for the night.

This morning travel to the airport at Christchurch, for a short flight to the North Island and the city of Rotorua. Visit the Red Wood Forest before checking into hotel for a two night stay. This evening, enjoy a Maori Hangi Feast and Concert at your hotel.

A morning visit to a Maori Village for a tour by one of the elders. See first hand how the local native people use the hot water and steam to cook their food and heat their homes. From there, a short drive to the "Agrodome", for a show of sheep and sheep dogs demonstration. The late afternoon and evening is free time.

Visit a local deer farm before travelling to Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, for a two night stay.

A morning visit to the "Kelly Tarlton Underwater World" with its live penguin display. Drive to Davenport for lunch and tour on your own then take a ferry back to the city center. Join your fellow travelers for a "Farewell to New Zealand Dinner" hosted by Select Holidays.
Jan 25, 2013: FLYING TO CAIRNS, AUSTRALIA [IFM/ B/L]
An early morning transfer to the Auckland Airport to catch the flight to Cairns, Australia. After clearing Customs transfer to “Tjapukai Aboriginal Park” for lunch and tour the park which features dancing and boomerang throwing. Check into hotel around 3:00 p.m. with the rest of the day free to enjoy the pool area and to relax.
Jan 26, 2013: CAIRNS, AUSTRALIA [B/L]
Travel by catamaran to the tropical ‘atoll’ of “Green Island” situated on “Great Barrier Reef”. Included is a ‘glass bottom boat’ to view the coral; a buffet lunch; snorkeling and swimming. Return to Cairns in the afternoon.

Today, travel onto the Atherton Tablelands. Learn about some of the farming techniques unique to the area: from sugar cane to bananas and from peanuts to tea. Have lunch and visit the Giant Fig Tree before returning to Cairns.

At “Freshwater Station” board the “Kuranda Rail” for a scenic journey up the mountains, to “Kuranda Station”. Enjoy time exploring Kuranda on your own before taking the world’s longest gondola ride (7.4 km) over the rainforest back to sea level. Board the afternoon flight that will take you to Brisbane for a 2-night stay.

Enjoy a morning cruise on the Brisbane River to “Lone Pine Wildlife Park”, where it is still possible to cuddle a koala and feed the kangaroos. Return to the city of Brisbane with the afternoon free.

Depart Brisbane and travel westward over the “Great Dividing Range” and onto the Darling Downs. This area encompasses some of Australia's richest farm lands where wheat, sorghum and pulse crops are grown in abundance. Visit a feed lot and with local farmers. Overnight in Dalby.

Visit more grain farms this morning around the agricultural community of Dalby before driving to the major wheat area of Goondiwindi for an overnight stay. Goondiwindi is known for the huge grain bunkers and storage silos.
