DAY 1 - Arrive Grapevine, Texas** Please arrive into Dallas Love Field airport by 3:00pm for included transfer to nearby Grapevine. Join your group for dinner featuring all French wines. Overnight in Grapevine. D
DAY 2 - Grapevine, Texas After your included breakfast, board your coach for an orientation to Historic Grapevine before visiting the Vetro G lass Blowing Studio & Gallery. Bottle your own wine at Su Vino W inery . Then visit Delaney Vineyards where you learn about wine making from vine to wine. Time to explore on your own in downtown Historic Grapevine with time for shopping and a leisurely lunch. Also visit the Grapevine Art Museum Tonight, enjoy dinner at Love and War in Texas, highlighting a Texas menu. Overnight in Grapevine. B, D
DAY 3 -Grapevine to Austin, Texas After breakfast, depart for Austin, the seventh and final capitol of Texas. First stop will be the Bob BullockTexas State History Museum featuring three floors of dynamic exhibits, a special effects Texas Spirit Theater, museum store and café where you can enjoy a light lunch on your own. But save room for the included coffee and dessert at the historic Driskill Hotel where President Lyndon Baines Johnson and Lady Bird had their first date. Check in to your hotel, then meet your group for dinner for a real Texas Barbeque where all the locals go. Overnight in Austin. B, D
DAY 4 - Austin to San Antonio, Texas Depart for a customized city tour with a step-on guide seeing as many as 30 points of interest including a glimpse of the Texas Hill Country just on the outskirts of Austin. H ear some great gospel music at Stubbs Gospel Brunch before departing for San Antonio. First stop will be at the Institute of Texas Cultures. Here you will really see the diversity of the many cultures that settled Texas. Continue to San Antonio. After checking in to our hotel, explore the River Walk with its many retaurants and shops. Tonight be entertained on a narrated River Boat Cruise. Overnight at the Drury Plaza in San Antonio. B, Brunch
DAY 5 -San Antonio, Texas When Spain learned that the French were moving into Texas from Louisiana, Spanish families were enticed to colonize the land beginning on the banks of the Rio Grande River and then spreading up through San Antonio where five missions were established, the most famous of which is the Alamo. Hear the dramatic and tragic story of this famous mission, one of the most visited spots in Texas. Experience El Mercado, a market built on the site of the original vegetable and meat market and anchored by Mi Tierra, a well established Mexican Restaurant and bakery. Later visit the M ain Plaza and beautiful San Fernando Cathedral. Finish our exciting day with dinner. Overnight in San Antonio. B, D
DAY 6 - San Antonio - Houston, Texas Begin the day enjoying breakfast before departing for Houston - USA as it is today. A City of Houston Tour will acquaint you with this sprawling metropolis before checking in to our ho tel. Throw in a little nostalgia at the 59 Diner. Overnight in Houston. B, D
DAY 7 - Houston, Texas Today we jump into the present and the future as we tour the world famous NASA Space Center to see where astronauts are trained and US space missions are controlled. Land a space shuttle, see a real Gemini rocket and even touch a moon rock. Later, enjoy waterfront dining, activities or specialty shopping at the Kemah Boardwalk which offers a range of cuisines from Texas fare to Mexican favorites to a variety of fresh seafood options. Return to our hotel to freshen up for dinner. Overnight in Houston. B, D
DAY 8 - Houston to Irving, Texas After breakfast, we are on our way to Irving - as American as apple pie - for our last stay in one of Texas major metropolitan areas. En route, stop to visit the Sixth floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, commemorating the life, presidency and the assassination of President Kennedy. Then visit the National Scouting M useum, the official museum of the Boy Scouts of America featuring a Norman Rodkwell Art Gallery, virtual reality adventures and hands on experiences. It’s time to check in before we are off for dinner. Overnight in Irving. B, D
DAY 9 - End of Tour** Say “adieu”,” hasta la vista”, “auf weidersehn” or just “so long” as you prepare to leave T exas. Transfer back to Love field or DFW is included. B Return flights** to your home city should depart after 1pm.
