DAY 2 – Santiago, Chile Welcome and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure to explore this classic capital where ancient and modern stand side by side.
DAY 3 – Santiago, Chile City tour of Santiago featuring the Palacio De La Moneda, the center of the Chilean government and a stunning example of neoclassical architecture, the Plaza de Armas (main square), and the bustling Mercado Central (market). (B)
DAY 4 – Travel Day: Santiago – Puerto Montt – Puerto Varas Fly to Chile’s beautiful Lake District bringing you to Puerto Montt. Continue by coach to Puerto Varas (the “Lucerne of Chile”) and your hotel along with a brief panoramic tour at the edge of Lake Llanquihue. (B)
DAY 5 – Puerto Varas – Puerto Montt –San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina Travel day begins with coach transfer to waterfalls of El Salto de Petrohue. Journey via catamaran across the Lago de Todos Los Santos en route to Peulla. Continue by coach to the Argentine border and onto San Carlos de Bariloche by evening. (B)
DAY 6 – Bariloche Entire day at leisure, you are free to choose from several optional day tours of the area. (B)
DAY 7 – Bariloche – Buenos Aires Fly to Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure. (B)
DAY 8 – Buenos Aires Today’s highlight is a tour of Buenos Aires featuring the city’s main attractions. Attractions include the Plaza de Mayo, the historic Cabildo (Town Hall), the Casa Rosada (Presidential Palace), the Congress Palace and the quaint La Boca district. (B)
DAY 9 – Buenos Aires Day at leisure. Optional full day excursion “Fiesta Gaucha” including BBQ at authentic Argentinean ranch with traditional songs and dance (not included in tour price). (B)
DAY 10 – Buenos Aires – Iguazú Falls, Argentina Fly to magnificent Iguazú Falls (Argentinean side) and explore from inside the Iguazú National Park. One of the first protected natural areas in the Americas, the park is now a UNESCO declared World Heritage Site and boasts over 200 species of flora and 400 different birds and animals. Explore on foot, admiring the awe-inspiring cascades spreading across a 2-mile gulf. Board a train to the “Devil’s Throat Balcony” for spectacular views. (B)
DAY 11 – Iguaçu Falls – Rio de Janeiro A brief visit to the Brazilian side of Iguaçu Falls before your afternoon flight to Rio. (B)
DAY 12 – Rio de Janeiro Excursion to Sugar Loaf and a visit to Stern’s Gem Factory before a leisurely afternoon. (B)
DAY 13 – Rio de Janeiro Day at leisure to further discover the city. (B)
DAY 14 – Rio de Janeiro - Departure Last-minute shopping or city exploration. (B)
