Day 1:  Sat: Mar 01, 2025:  Depart North America            [IFM]
Depart North America on an overnight flight into Europe.

Day 2: Sun: Mar 02, 2025:   Europe ~ Nairobi, Kenya         [IFM]
Depart the European city and fly to Nairobi, Kenya, the capital of the country. JAMBO - KARIBU!! It is ‘touch down’ at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your local representative eagerly await your arrival in their unique and traditional African style welcome. You will be transferred to your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 3:  Mon: Mar 03, 2025: Nairobi [B/L/D]
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Proceed for excursions in Nairobi. Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s elephant orphanage, meet them as they return from the bush and talk to their keepers to learn more about this worthwhile project and the importance of the elephant in Africa’s conservation efforts. Followed by a visit to Giraffe Centre which offers the unique experience of hand-feeding these gentle giants at eye level. Then visit the Karen Blixen Museum which offers a glimpse of typical colonial life in Kenya. The house was once the center piece of a farm owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen. The museum gained international fame with the release of the Oscar winning film ‘Out of Africa’, which is based on Karen’s life. Return to your town hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 4:  Tue: Mar 04, 2025:  Mount Kenya Safari Club [B/L/D]
After breakfast, you will drive to Nanyuki. Proceed to the famous Mount Kenya Safari Club, originally the retreat of movie star and club founder, William Holden and one that boasts an illustrious list of former members who include Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. This prestigious club’s main structure reflects the 1950’s colonial architectural design with a luxury country club feel, complemented with independent quaint cottages, including William Holden’s original cottage, spread over 100 acres of landscaped gardens. The club’s activity list is long and includes golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, an animal orphanage or you may want to simply relax, rejuvenate and refresh yourself at the Health and Fitness Centre set within these serene breathtaking surroundings.

Day 5:  Wed: Mar 05, 2025:  Samburu Game Reserve [B/L/D]
After breakfast, you will drive north to the Samburu National Reserve, set in the rugged semi-arid northern region with spectacular scenic landscape. Upon arrival, you will be met by the camp’s representative and a welcome lunch. After checking into the camp and free time, depart on an afternoon game drive. The verdant riverine forest is a stark contrast to the arid thorn studded plains. The Samburu region is the best place to find several endemic Northern species; including the Gerenuk (twiga gazelle) due to her long neck, the beisa Oryx, the Reticulated Giraffe, the Somali ostrich and Grevy’s Zebra. Samburu is also an ornithological paradise, home to many birds including local species such as the Palm Nut Vulture and the Vivacious Dove. Leopards are often seen at dusk. The Samburu culture is a truly fascinating one, sharing a great deal of ancestral and linguistic ties to the Maasai. The entire Samburu region is a place of breath taking and magical beauty, a place where the vision of a deep red sunset silhouetting the doum palms along the river as a leopard emerges to hunt brings the perfect end to a day on safari. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6:  Thu: Mar 06, 2025:  Samburu Game Reserve      [B/L/D]
This is a full day in the Samburu Game Reserve. There will be both a morning and an  afternoon game drive, in search of game found only north of the equator, such as:  long necked Gerenuk, Grevy Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the blue shanked Somali Ostrich and of course the Big Five:- Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Cape Buffalo and Leopard.  The Ewaso Nyiro River is an oasis-like setting that attracts a myriad of birds and wildlife.  There is the opportunity to visit a local village after breakfast where guests can learn more about Samburu culture.  The evening game drive will take in a scenic point in order to stop for sundowner's and to observe the sun setting over the African plains.

Day 7: Fri: Mar 07, 2025: Ol Pejeta Conservancy [B/L/D]
After breakfast, you will depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving at your tented camp in time for lunch. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We enjoy a game drive in this game wealthy conservancy with a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected refuge of black rhino. In fact, Sweetwater’s boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. The camp overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers an astounding variety of animals including all the Big Five and myriad of plains game. This is Africa as Teddy Roosevelt saw it years ago when he led one of the first safaris to tour Africa in comfort and splendor. The tents at Sweetwater’s will remind us of this past era. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 8: Sat: Mar 08, 2025: Lake Nakuru National Park [B/L/D]
After breakfast we depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at the Thompson's Falls for a breath-taking view of the great scenery. We arrive for lunch. This afternoon we enjoy a game viewing drive. The environment here is welcoming, one of the best places to relax, to unwind, to enjoy nature’s beauty. The scenery is breath-taking; a sight of the virgin forest is re-assuring. Some of the interesting places to visit include the baboon cliff, the lion hill and the Mau escarpment. The park is one of the best game viewing parks with various animal species including prides of lion, Cape buffalo, waterbucks, wart hogs, the endangered Rothschild giraffes, the black & white Rhino, the Burchell’s zebra, impalas, and the elusive leopard among many others. Over 300 bird species have been recorded here too. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best places to see the endangered black and white Rhino. Enjoy dinner and overnight at our Lodge.

Day 9: Sun: Mar 09, 2025: Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara Game Reserve [B/L/D]
A hearty early morning breakfast then drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. Arrive at the intimate 20-tent Tipilikwani Camp to a very warm welcome and in good time for lunch. This afternoon another exciting game viewing drive. The rolling plains and grasslands stretching far into the horizons as far as the eye can see is home to the black-manned lion, the savannah elephant, the Cape buffalo, wildebeest, the elusive leopard, cheetah, the spotted & stripped hyena, rhino, topi, Burchell’s zebra, the Masai giraffe among many others. The Mara game reserve is one that can never disappoint. One is spoilt by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. For a long time, Masai Mara Game Reserve has stubbed her authority as the ‘granary’ of wildlife in Kenya. We return back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Mon: Mar 10, 2025:  Masai Mara Game Reserve                [B/L/D]
Sumptuous breakfast then depart on your day’s adventure. Be on the look-out for the big five that Masai Mara is famous for. These include the lion, savannah (African) elephant, the Cape buffalo, the leopard and the black rhino. We may even be so lucky to witness a leopard or a cheetah close up!! We return back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: (Early Booking Bonus) Early morning ‘Balloon Safari’ over the Mara plains followed by a champagne breakfast or visit a traditional Masai Manyatta (off the beaten track) and experience the culture of this world famous community. The Masai still live as they did for centuries -interact with these nomadic people and experience their way of life as you learn about their customs and traditions.

DAY 11:  Tue: Mar 11, 2025:   Lake Victoria [B/L/D]
Today begins very early and is a full day!! Enjoy a hearty breakfast then depart with picnic lunch via the Isebania & Sirari border between Kenya & Tanzania, where our driver/guides will help you through the immigration procedures. This is where you will transfer into Tanzanian registered vehicles and Tanzanian driver/guides. Continue your journey towards the south-eastern shores of Lake Victoria in Tanzania, to Speke Bay Lodge for check in for the night, where you can enjoy the facilities offered by the lodge. Speke Bay, aptly named after the famous explorer John Hanning Speke, who, in 1858, discovered Lake Victoria to be the source of the Nile. Embraced by savannah, the Lodge looks like a small village, stretched out along the shores of the lake.

DAY 12: Wed: Mar 12, 2025:  Serengeti National Park [B/L/D]
After a leisurely breakfast, you will proceed to Central Serengeti National Park. Covering an area of 14,763 square kilometres, the world famous Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest park and is known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains either through the marshy western corridor’s crocodile-infested Grumeti River whilst others migrate northeast to the Lobo Hills and into the Masai Mara. The granite outcrops of the Moru Kopjes add to the stunning beauty of this immensely huge national park. Arrive at the lodge for hot lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy an extensive game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge, where we stay for two nights.

DAY 13: Thu: Mar 13, 2025:  Serengeti National Park [B/L/D]
Today, we depart with packed lunch boxes, for a full day of game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. DAY 14: Fri: Mar 14, 2025:  Ngorongoro Conservation Area [B/L/D]
After breakfast depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Proceed towards the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater stopping occasionally to admire the breath-taking vista unfolding before you. Arrive for check in, thereafter lunch. This afternoon just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater, the largest unbroken caldera in the world. It has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world. Eight million years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater was an active volcano but its cone collapsed, forming the crater that is 610 meters deep, 20 kilometres in diameter, and covers an area of 311 sq. km. Spectacular as it is, the crater accounts for just a tenth of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater is home to many species of wild game. Prides of lions, herds of cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, rhino, giraffes, golden & black-backed jackal, zebra, cheetah, leopard and the spotted hyena. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge, where we spend two nights.

DAY 15:  Sat: Mar 15, 2025:  Ngorongoro Conservation Area [B/L/D]
After breakfast descend some 600 metres into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day of game-viewing drive with picnic lunch at a private scenic site. Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Unmatched for its natural variety & breath-taking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exists inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also of great archaeological importance, with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area, also a home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 16: Sun: Mar 16, 2025:  Arusha / Depart for North America [B/IFM]
This morning we enjoy our breakfast then check-out. We bid farewell and transfer to the Arusha airport for our flight back to North America.

Day 17: Mon: Mar 17, 2025: End of Tour [IFM]
Today the tour officially ends as you arrive back into North America and home.
