Begin in Budapest, Hungary, where you board your river cruise vessel and sail westward, with guided sightseeing in magical Vienna, Passau, and medieval Regensburg. Also take a guided walk in the charming town of Dürnstein and see the baroque Stiftskirche, and visit the awe-inspiring Benedictine Abbey in Melk. Enjoy wine tasting in Melk and beer tasting in fascinating Regensburg. Finally disembark your ship in Nuremberg, Germany. All of this and more await you on this marvelous vacation!

Day 1: Depart North America [IFM]
Overnight flight to Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary.
Day 2: Arrive Budapest [IFM/D]
Transfer to the waiting “Vista” Cruise Vessel to begin an 8-day adventure on the Danube and Main Rivers. Enjoy a‘Welcome Reception”.
Day 3: Sailing-Vienna, Austria [B/L/D]
Today is a relaxing day on board with beautifu scenery on both banks of the Danube. Hungary is on the left and Slovakia is on the right. This evening, arrive to Vienna-known as “the City of Music” which inspired the greats like Mozart and Beethoven.

Day 4: Vienna [B/L/D]
This is also home to the mighty Habsburg Empire, the lavish Hofburg Imperial Palace and the Vienna Boys Choir. Be sure to take a break for some Vienna coffee and pastries.
Day 5: Durnstein-Melk [B/L/D]
Durnstein is known for the magnificent baroque, blue Stiftskirche built in the 1700’s. Cruise through the Wachau Valley, the heart of the wine region. Take a guided walk to visit of the Benedictine Abbey in Melk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This evening, sample some of the local wines.
Day 6: Passau [B/L/D]
This is where the three rivers converge and where one of the world's largest pipe organ can be found. There are optional full day tours today. One to Salzburg where the “Sound of Music” was filmed and the other to Chesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic and an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 7: Regensburg [B/L/D]
Sail into Regensburg one of Europe's best preserved medieval cities. Walk across the Stone Bridge, oldest of its kind in Germany. Grab a beer and enjoy a snack at the historic Old Sausage Kitchen.
Day 8: Roth - Nuremberg [B/L/D]
There is a choice of guided sightseeing today. A guided walking sightseeing tour in Nuremberg, or a visit to the Nuremberg Rally Grounds. Nuremberg suffered extensive damage during WWII and much has been restored.
Day 9: End of Cruise [B/IFM]
Following breakfast on board, transfer to the airport for the flight back to North America.
