Day 1 - 19th October 2018 : (IFM)
Depart North America on an overnight flight to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France.
Day 2 - 20th October 2018 : (IFM/L/D)
Arrival into Paris, meet your English speaking guide and enjoy for lunch. This afternoon, tour this amazing city, visiting the Champs Elysées; Louvre; Notre Dame; Latin Quarter and more! Check into hotel for a 2-night stay. Dinner included this evening.
Day 3 - 21st October 2018 : (B/L/D)
Enjoy a Parisian-style breakfast at the hotel the departure to Montmartre, for Walk on the cobblestone streets typical of this neighborhood alongside a guide, and discover the artisanal gastronomy of Montmartre. This delicious walking tour includes numerous tastings of authentic products such as dried sausages, raw milk cheese, croissant or artisan breads as well, visit the Sacred Heart Basilica of Paris and wander through beautifully narrow streets. This afternoon depart for Champagne for lunch and the opportunity to taste three of the champagnes from the region. Lunch and tasting is followed with a visit to the Champagne cooperative in Valle de la Marne. Travel back to Paris for dinner and an overnight stay. This evening an option is to enjoy the best views of the “City of Lights”, and discover the beauty of Parisian monuments illuminated at night and savor a dinner prepared on board as you cruise on the Seine River.
Day 4 - 22nd October 2018 : (B/L/D)
Following breakfast depart Paris for Versailles a short distance away and take a guided tour to the Versailles Palace. This is France's most famous and prestigious castle. The tour gives you a chance to see the unique Hall of Mirrors and visit the King and Queen’s apartments. Enjoy a walk in the beautiful gardens. Following lunch, depart to the Loire Valley to visit the Clos Lucé Castle, Leonardo Da Vinci’s residence in the Loire Valley where he lived and worked for three years, until his death. Both the park and the castle are devoted to rebuilding the universe of Leonardo da Vinci and bringing it to life. Transfer to hotel for dinner and a 2-night stay.
Day 5 - 23rd October 2018 : (B/L/D)
After breakfast, depart for the Saumur region. This morning, visit a mushroom farm that are growing a varieties of mushroom at 50 metres underground. In this region, there are numerous mushroom farms. Lunch in a traditional troglodyte restaurant based on typical local food and of course, mushrooms. Visit the Cadre Noir de Saumur and go behind the scenes of this famous horse riding school. Discover the stables, saddlery, great carousel and also farrier. Travel back to your hotel for diner and overnight stay.
Day 6 - 24th October 2018 : (B/L/D)
Today's visit will included a visit to the Château of Chenonceau. Located in the Centre Val de Loire region. It was once a royal residence. It is a truly exceptional site, both for its original idea of building it on the Cher River, and is second only to Versailles as the most visited château in France. Have lunch in Chenonceau. In the afternoon visit a local goat cheese production farm. The goat farm opens up onto the meadows of the hillside. The open air, pastures, a clear view on the Negron valley form the living environment of an upscale breeding. A guided tour of the farm and goat cheese tasting is accompanied by wine. Continue to Poitiers, France and check in your hotel in the city center. You will be able to enjoy a walk in the old part of Poitiers before or after dinner.
Day 7 - 25th October 2018 : (B/L/D)
Check-out of hotel and departure to Cognac. The city of Cognac, well known all over the world thanks to the Cognac drink, a grape-based spirit that has been made here for the past 300 years. Visit the great house of Cognac, Hennessy and have the chance to learn the history of the cognac, how it is made and enjoy a tasting or two. Have lunch in Cognac then departure back to Paris and end of tour.
