ITINERARY
Day 01 - September 19, 2026: Depart Canada
Depart for Frankfurt, Germany (IFM)
Day 02 - September 20, 2026: Frankfurt, Germany
Arrival at Frankfurt airport and meet your English-speaking tour guide. Transfer by modern coach to Bad Dürkheim, with lunch and wine tasting at a winery enroute. Continue to Bad Dürkheim on the famous "Southern Wine Route" and check in at Gartenhotel Heusser or similar. Welcome dinner at the hotel. [L/D]
Day 03 - September 21, 2026: Heidelberg, Germany
Transfer to Heidelberg for a guided exploration tour of the patriarchal and romantic old town. Heidelberg is known for its world-famous castle, Germany's oldest university, and vibrant cultural scene, while also being a modern hub for science and trade. After lunch, visit a private farm specializing in open-field vegetable and fruit production, taking advantage of the excellent climate in the German Pfalz region. Dinner at a restaurant in Bad Dürkheim's old town. (B/L/D)
Day 04 - September 22, 2026: Heidelberg, Germany
Visit to John Deere, Germany's largest agricultural technology producer, where 60% of the country's tractors are built across 6 locations. The visit includes a guided plant tour, product presentation, museum, John Deere Forum, and shop. Lunch at the plant canteen. In the late afternoon, visit a winery on the Southern Wine Route. During dinner featuring local specialties, you'll taste house-made wines and learn about the production process from the cellarer. (B/L/D)
Day 05 - September 23, 2026: Lake Constance, Germany
Enter the Black Forest at Baden-Baden and drive the scenic "Schwarzwald-Hochstraße" to the Freudenstadt region, with a walk and photo stop along the way. Visit an orchard farm known for diverse fruit cultivation and ideal growing conditions. Enjoy a generous tasting of spirits made from the farm's produce, followed by lunch with homemade products. Continue south to Lake Constance, check in and dinner at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 06 - September 24, 2026: Mainau Island, Germany
Take the ferry to Mainau Island-a 45-hectare plant and flower paradise owned by the Swedish Bernadotte family. Explore the seasonal gardens and arboretum at your leisure. Lunch on your own at a restaurant or snack bar on the island. In the afternoon, ferry back to the mainland and continue to an award-winning, family-run apple farm on the lake's far side. The 30-hectare farm includes a distillery and focuses on direct marketing. Enjoy a typical dinner, learn about the farm, and taste its homemade products. (B/D)
Day 07 - September 25, 2026: Allgau Region, Germany
Drive to the Allgäu region to visit a cheese dairy, followed by a light lunch. En route to Schwäbisch Hall, enjoy a coffee break at a farmers café. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour with your tour guide through this medieval city known for its rich history in salt extraction. Enjoy dinner at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 08 - September 26, 2026: Langenburg, Germany
Visit a nearby multisided farm focused on crop production, Simmental beef, pig fattening and piglet production, as well as energy generation through biogas and solar power. Lunch at the farmer's restaurant. Then drive through the scenic Jagst Valley to Langenburg for a visit to the Renaissance castle of Philipp Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg, grandnephew of Prince Phillip. Afterwards, enjoy a coffee break or visit the royal automobile collection at your leisure. Continue to WindischBockenfeld for a warm welcome from the Vogt family and a tour of their modern office, set in the heart of the agricultural landscape. End the evening with a snack buffet and drinks in the beautifully restored rustic barn 'Dorfscheune 1846', renovated by the Vogt family in 2020. (B/L/D)
Day 09 - September 27, 2026: Rothenberg, Germany
Dríve to the Rot am See region to visit a moving memorial about a village's resistance during the final days of WWII, its destruction, and post-war development. Continue to Rothenburg ob der Tauber for lunch and a guided tour of this medieval town. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore-perhaps visit the famous 'Käthe Wohlfahrt' Christmas world or stroll the crooked streets. Dinner at a restaurant in Schwäbisch Hall. (B/L/D)
Day 10 - September 28, 2026: Dinkelsbühl, Germany
Transfer to Dinkelsbühl to visit an innovative family-run greenhouse specializing in tomatoes and cucumbers grown on 10.5 hectares. The business employs 50 permanent staff, increasing to over 120 in peak seasons, and uses waste heat from a biomass plant for CO2-friendly production. Lunch in Dinkelsbühl. Continue to Nuremberg for free time in the city before dinner with the group. (B/L/D)
Day 11 - September 29, 2026: Nuremberg, Germany
Enjoy a city tour with a local guide in Nuremberg, known for its medieval architecture and Nuremberg Castle. Drive outside the city for lunch and a visit to a family-run farm that grows hops, fruit, and has its own distillery. Return to Nuremberg for dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 12 - September 30, 2026: Munich - Home
Transfer to the Munich Airport for flight(s) home. (B)
