Day 01 - 03: Jan 21, 22 & 23, 2026: CAIRNS, AU
Arrive into the tropical city of Cairns, for a three-night stay. Travel to “Freshwater Train Station” to board the “Kuranda Rail” for a scenic train journey up the mountainside to “Kuranda Station” and a visit to the Kuranda village. “Skyrail Rainforest Cableway”, the world’s longest gondola, for an epic aerial ride over the rainforest canopy as you make your way back down the mountain. A 45-minute catamaran ride will take you to beautiful Green Island to enjoy this unique coral reef, which is situated on part of the “Great Barrier Reef" - one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Enjoy a glass bottom boat ride over the coral with snorkeling equipment included. [B daily & 1 lunch]
Day 04 - 07: Jan 24, 25, 26 & 27, 2026: CAIRNS ~ MELBOURNE ~ BALLARAT, AU
Included flight to Melbourne. City tour of Melbourne. Continue into the farming community of Ballarat and check into the hotel for a 2-night stay. Ballarat is Victoria's largest inland city with a fascinating heritage backdrop. Visit and tour of a local sheep sales yard, as well as a potato, corn farm and dairy. Visit to a local company which makes Australian sprayers. [B daily, 1 lunch & 2 dinners]
Day 08 & 09: Jan 28 & 29, 2026: BALLARAT – BORDERTOWN ~ MANNUM, AU
Travel through the region, known as the “Victorian Wheat Belt”. Visit to a carrot farm followed by a visit to a large scale cereal grain operation. Visit a seed cleaning operation then continue into Murray Bridge. Visit an onion processing facilities. The quaint community of Mannum, a historic town on the west bank of the Murray River. [Breakfast daily, 1 lunch and 2 dinners]
Day 10 :Jan 30, 2026: MANNUM - BAROSSA VALLEY - ADELAIDE/GLENELG, AU
The Barossa Valley wine region is one of Australia's oldest and most premier wine regions. Enjoy a tour and lunch at a local winery. Travel onto Adelaide/Glenelg a beach-side suburb of the South Australian capital of Adelaide. [B/L]
Day 11, 12 & 13: Jan 31, Feb 01 & 02, 2026: KANGAROO ISLAND - ADELAIDE, AU
Travel to Kangaroo Island is Australia's third-largest island, after Tasmania and Melville Island. It lies in the state of South Australia, 112 km (70 mi) southwest of Adelaide. Since the island's economy has been principally agricultural, with a southern rock lobster fishery and with tourism growing in importance. The largest town is Kingscote. The island has several nature reserves to protect the remnants of its natural vegetation and native animals, with the largest and best-known being Flinders Chase National Park at the western end. Spend one night on Kangaroo Island plus two full days touring. Return to Adelaide on February 02nd in the afternoon and overnight at an airport hotel. [B daily plus a L & D]
Day 14 & 15: Feb 03 & 04, 2026: SYDNEY, AU
Included flight into Sydney. Check into your hotel situated on the Darling Harbour, for a two-night stay. A cruise on one of the Sydney Harbour. A tour and visit to the world-famous “Sydney Opera House”. Free time to explore on your own. [B daily]
Day 16: Feb 05, 2026: SYDNEY - LAUNCESTON, TASMANIA
Depart for the Sydney International Airport for a flight to Launceston. Launceston is located in Tasmania’s northern region. Meet group on arrival at Launceston airport and transfer to the city centre hotel. If time permits enjoy an orientation drive of the local sights including its beautiful parks and gardens. Pass by Trustee Court and Princes’ Square with its unique fountain and fine surrounding buildings. Free evening to dine out at a local pub or restaurant.
Day 17: Feb 06, 2026: LAUNCESTON - DEVONPORT, TASMANIA
Head north east on the North Coast this morning to visit a family owned and operated Angus stud committed to breeding cattle with supreme genetics to produce elite beef. Afterwards continue to the small hamlet of Hagley and visit one of the largest hazelnut groves in Australia. A family member will give you a guided tour from the groves to the range of products produced. Later visit the family owned Ashgrove Cheese making a range of cheeses for the Australian market. Whilst here see the skilled cheesemakers at work and learn about Ashgrove’s unique pasture to plate philosophy. Enjoy a cheese tasting of their various products. End the day in Devonport, a busy industrial and agricultural centre. [B/D]
Day 18: Feb 07, 2026: DEVONPORT - ULVERSTONE - DEVONPORT, TASMANIA
Our first stop this morning is adjacent to the little village of Gunns Plains to get a complete rundown of a robotic dairy watching cows go through the milking process with no human involvement. Afterwards a short drive to Ulverstone for a visit to a renowned Australian brand of pickled onions. This family concern prides themselves on producing the tastiest crunchy pickled onions grown by local farmers. Later in the day visit a mixed commercial beef and prime lamb enterprise. Return to Devonport and overnight. [B/D]
Day 19: Feb 08, 2026: DEVONPORT - CRADLE MOUNTAIN - STRAHAN, TASMANIA
Head inland this morning through the foothills of the spectacular Great Western Tiers, one of the most scenically attractive regions in Tasmania. Enjoy time in the rural hamlet of Sheffield and view the murals on the olde worlde town buildings. Continue towards Cradle Mountain to board the shuttle to visit Dove Lake. Afterwards visit Devils@Cradle in the wilderness region, the natural home of native animals including the mysterious and elusive Tasmanian Devil. Afterwards continue through the scenic wilderness area passing through the old mining towns of Rosebery, Zeehan and Queenstown enroute to our two night stay in Strahan overlooking the majestic Macquarie Harbour. Day 20: Feb 09, 2026: STRAHAN - GORDON RIVER, TASMANIA
Today enjoy a cruise on the iconic Gordon River in the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Pass through Macquarie Harbour and see Hells Gates, aquaculture farms, a guided South Island on shore walk and stop off at a Huon Pine sawmill. Later in the day free time in Strahan before visiting the Richard Davey Amphitheatre to see the show “The Ship That Never Was”. Afterwards enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. [B/L/D]
Day 21: Feb 10, 2026: STRAHAN - QUEENSTOWN - DERWENT BRIDGE - HOBART, TASMANIA
First stop is at the olde worlde mining town of Queenstown with the field producing 670,000 tonnes of approximately 500,000kg of silver ore and 20,000kg of gold. Marvel at the unique town setting, wide streets and buildings from a bygone era. Continue along the Lyell Highway to Derwent Bridge to visit the Wall in the Wilderness, a local timber (Huon Pine) wooden sculpture 3 metres high and over 100 metres in length. Join the Derwent River, following this river that flows through Hobart to the sea. Enter the state capital with a brief city sights tour followed by time for private sightseeing later this afternoon. Day 22: Feb 11, 2026: HOBART, TASMANIA
This morning gaze in awe at the spectacular scenery of the Tasman Peninsula and coastline. Time to stop along the way to explore places like the Tessellated Pavement at Eaglehawk Neck, the Blowhole, Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen. Meet your local historical guide for a walking tour of the 19th century penal settlement of Port Arthur, now an open air museum. Ruins include the penitentiary and the remnants of the Convict Church (built by convicts). See other prison buildings including solitary confinement cells in a separate prison building used to inflict mental punishment as well as floggings. Free time to stroll around this historic site, including a harbour cruise, before returning to Hobart in time for dinner. [B/D]
Day 23: Feb 12, 2026: HOBART, TASMANIA - END OF TOUR
Breakfast in the hotel. Private coach transfer to Hobart Airport. [B]
