Day 01 - Feb 26, 2027: Depart Canada [IFM]
Depart North America on an overnight flight to Delhi, India.
Day 02 - Feb 27, 2027: Arrive Delhi, India [IFM/D]
Upon arrival into Delhi, India. Clear local customs and meet your local guide before transferring to the hotel, your home for the next 4 nights.
Day 03 - Feb 28, 2027: Old Delhi, India [B/L/D]
Tour ‘Old’ Delhi, including a visit to the Red Fort- built in 1648 and one of the largest mosques in India. See Raj Ghat, which is the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Delhi is a fascinating city with unique shops and amazing people. Enjoy a “Welcome Dinner” this evening hosted by Select Holidays.
Day 04 - Mar 01, 2027: New Delhi, India [B/L/D]
After breakfast tour of ‘New’ Delhi, with visits that will include India Gate, War Memorial Arch, and driving past both thePresident's House and the Parliament House. Enjoy a rickshaw rideto visit a spice market. Afternoon at your leisure before dinner.
Day 05 - Mar 02, 2027: Delhi, India [B/L/D]
This morning, a drive into the local countryside and visit the Amul Milk Plant, a state-of-the-art dairy factory that produces milk, curd, ice cream and cheese. Later, visit an organic and herbal farm, for cocktails and dinner. Overnight back in Delhi.
Day 06 - Mar 03, 2027: Delhi - Ludhiana, India [B/L/D]
Visit thelargest wholesale fruit and vegetable marketin Asia this morning, where trading and auctioning take place early every morning. An afternoon visit to a poultry farm before proceeding to Ludhiana.
Day 07 - Mar 04, 2027: Ludhiana - Delhi, India [B/L/D]
A morning visit to a vegetable & flower farm. Also enjoy a visit to a Wheat Farm. An afternoon visit to a Cooperative Bank, which looks after the interest of farmers, assisting with loans and getting people in to farming. The group will continue to Ludhiana by first class high speed rail. Upon the late arrival into Ludhiana, check into hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 08 - Mar 05, 2027: Delhi / Jhansi / Khajuraho, India [B/L/D]
This morning, board theflightfrom Delhi to Jhansi. Upon arrival you will travel on to Khajuraho and enjoy a sightseeing tour visiting Chaunset Yogini Temple,Nandi Temples etc. Transfer to hotel for 2 nights in Khajuraho.
Day 09 - Mar 06, 2027: Khajuraho, India [B/L/D]
A morning visit a Traditional Farm that still uses bullock carts and enjoy lunch at the farm house. This evening enjoy entertainment and a Classical Dance Show.
Day 10 - Mar 07, 2027: Khajuraho / Jhansi / Agra, India [B/L/D]
After breakfast, transfer to the Jhansi Railway Station totravel by train (first class) to Agra. Enroute, visitOrcha, whose grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time and a rich legacy to the ages. The palaces and the temples built in the 16th and 17th century and retain much of their pristine perfection. Get spectacular view of soaring temple spires and cenotaphs. Enjoy lunch in Orcha before continuing the rail journey to Agra. Check into hotel in Agra for a 2-night stay.
Day 11 - Mar 08, 2027: Agra [B/L/D]
A morning visit to Sikandara, Itmad-Ud-Duala and Agra Fort. Sikandara- is “Emperor Akbar's” mausoleum; Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Duala was built between 1622-28 by Empress Noor Jahan in memory of her father; Agra Fort contains halls of private and public audiences and other palaces. Afternoon visit to the Taj Mahal at sunset. The Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight in Agra.
Day 12 - Mar 09, 2027: Ranthambore National Park [B/L/D]
Depart for Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve. Enroute to the park, visit Fatehpur Sikri. Upon arrival into the park check into hotel for a 2-night stay.
Day 13 - Mar 10, 2027: Ranthambore National Park [B/L/D]
Enjoy a morning and afternoon game run. The park is a congenial habitat for Tigers, the stately Sambar - the largest of all Asiatic deer, water birds and crocodiles. The park is a wildlife enthusiast and photographer’s dream. Later on you will visit a Guava Farm. Afternoon game drive again. Overnight in the National Park.
Day 14 – Mar 11, 2027: Jaipur, India [B/L/D]
Once again, another game run before traveling to Jaipur – known as the “Pink City”. Jaipur will be your home for the next 3 nights.
Day 15 – Mar 12, 2027: Jaipur, India [B/L/D]
Visit Amber Fort in the morning, the ancient capital of the state. An unforgettable elephant or jeep ride is part of the highlight this day as well. Later visit a milk collection center where milk is collected from nearby villagers.
Day 16 – Mar 13, 2027: Jaipur, India [B/L/D]
A morning tour of Jaipur, visiting the city palace and observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds plus through the rows-pink residential and business area. Enjoy a “Farewell Dinner” hosted by Select Holidays, at a 30 acre agriculture farm, which is a typical Indian farm with thatched roofs and mud plastered wall. The farm also has tube wells used for irrigating crops such as wheat, barley, millet and vegetables. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 17 - Mar 14, 2027: Jaipur - Delhi, India [B/L/D]
All too soon great things must come to an end as you drive from Jaipur back to Delhi. Upon arrival into Delhi, check into an airport hotel. Balance of day at leisure.
Day 18: Mar 15, 2027: Delhi, India to Colombo/Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka [B/D]
Morning flight from Delhi, India to Columbo, Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, receive a traditional Sri Lankan welcome: “Ayubowan”—a wish for long life. Travel to Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka’s ancient agricultural heartlands. En route, visit a coconut cultivation operation and a mixed-crop farm featuring cashews, pineapples, and tropical fruits. Learn about coconut harvesting, husking, toddy tapping, coir production, and traditional intercropping practices. Check into your hotel and enjoy the facilities.
Day 19: Mar 16, 2027: Anuradhapura – Dambulla, Sri Lanka [B/L/D]
Travel to Dambulla and visit traditional Wewa Gam—or “Tank Villages”—where ancient irrigation reservoirs support paddy fields, seasonal vegetables, and dry-zone crops. Explore the sustainable Ellangawa cascade irrigation system, traditional farming tools, and the relationship between water management, land use, and village life. Overnight in the Amaya Lake region.
Day 20: Mar 17, 2027: Dambulla – Kandy, Sri Lanka [B/L/D]
Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a remarkable complex of ancient cave temples, murals, and sculptures carved into a massive rock outcrop. Continue to the Matale region for a visit to a spice garden, then travel to Kandy to explore the Kandyan Home Garden System—an environmentally sustainable mix of spices, fruit trees, timber species, medicinal plants, and food crops. Overnight at Amaya Hills Kandy.
Day 21: Mar 18, 2027: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka [B/D]
Visit the Agricultural Genetic Resources Centre at Gannoruwa to learn about vegetable and fruit crop conservation. Continue into Sri Lanka’s central highlands, where tea cultivation has shaped the landscape for generations. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England,” surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, vegetable farms, and tea estates. Tour the town, including Gregory Lake and Sita Amman Kovil. Overnight at Araliya Green Hills.
Day 22: Mar 19, 2027: Nuwara Eliya – Ella, Sri Lanka [B/L/D]
Travel through Sri Lanka’s highland farming country to Ella. Visit an up-country vegetable farming village, explore Uva home gardens, and learn about analog forestry practices in the Welimada and Bandarawela areas.
The afternoon is at leisure, with optional visits to the Nine Arch Bridge and Ravana Falls, or a walk to Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views over tea-covered hills. Overnight at Hotel Morning Dew Ella.
Day 23: Mar 20, 2027: Ella – Udawalawe, Sri Lanka [B/L/D]
Journey into Sri Lanka’s lowland dry zone, visiting farms producing bananas, papayas, vegetables, sugarcane, and other tropical crops. Learn about community seed-saving initiatives and local farming practices. In the afternoon, enjoy a safari in Udawalawe National Park, known for its elephants, dry-zone birdlife, and open grassland landscapes. Overnight at Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort.
Day 24: Mar 21, 2027: Udawalawe – Colombo, Sri Lanka / Depart Sri Lanka [B/L/IFM]
Visit a cinnamon cultivation and processing centre, followed by a rubber plantation visit, before continuing to Colombo. Discover Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, where South Asian, colonial, and modern influences meet. This evening, transfer to the international airport for your overnight flight home to North America.
Day 25: Mar 22, 2027: End of Tour [IFM]
Arrive North America early this morning, concluding your Sri Lanka Agricultural Discovery Tour.
