This unforgettable journey begins in New Zealand, exploring the Hawke’s Bay wine region, Lake Taupo, and Rotorua with its Maori traditions, glowworm caves, and farm experiences. In Auckland and Queenstown, enjoy cultural highlights, winery visits, a steamer cruise to a sheep station, and the adventure towns of Arrowtown and Cromwell. Scenic wonders follow with a Milford Sound luncheon cruise, farm visits in Te Anau and Gore, and the heritage city of Dunedin. Traveling north, discover the Moeraki Boulders, hydro lakes, salmon farms, and the fertile Canterbury Plains with multiple farm visits. After time in Christchurch, the journey continues to Tahiti, where you embark on a South Pacific cruise. Sail through the Tuamotus and Marquesas, with highlights including Rangiroa, Bora Bora, Moorea, and a private motu in Taha’a, before returning to Papeete.

ITINERARY

Day 01 & 02: Jan 10 & 11, 2027:  FLYING TO NEW ZEALAND/CROSS DATE LINE
The tour begins with a flight from Canada/USA into New Zealand. You will cross the International Date Line and lose a day.  [IFM]

Day 03 - 05: Jan 12, 13 & 14, 2027:  NAPIER/HASTINGS REGIONS, NZ
Arrive Auckland, New Zealand, then connecting flight to Napier. Visit Napier & Hawks Bay region including a winery lunch & tasting. View farms such as fruit farms, dairy farms etc. [Breakfast Daily/Lunch & Dinner]

Day 06 & 07: Jan 15 & 16, 2027:  NAPIER ~ ROTORUA, NZ
Lake Taupo is in the caldera of the Taupo Volcano and is the largest lake by surface area in New Zealand. Rotorua for two-night stay.  Maori Hangi Feast and Concert with a visit to an authentic Maori Village for a guided tour with one of the elders.  Visit the “Agrodome”, for a show of sheep and sheep dog demonstration and farm wagon tour to see kiwi fruit on the vine.  [Breakfast daily & Dinner]

Day 08 & 09: Jan 17 & 18, 2027– ROTORUA ~ AUCKLAND, NZ
Visit “Waitomo Glow Worm Caves”.  Arrive Auckland, known as the “City of Sails”, for a two-night stay.  Visit to the “Kelly Tarlton Underwater World” with its live penguin and killer sharks display. Drive to Davenport, across the bay from the city of Auckland.  Afternoon and evening free to explore Auckland on your own [Breakfast daily]

Day 10 - 11  Jan 19 & 20, 2027: – AUCKLAND ~ QUEENSTOWN, NZ
Included flight from Auckland to Queenstown located on the South Island, for a two-night stay. Evening relaxing cruise on the historic coal-fired steamer, the “SS Earnslaw”, crossing to the “Walter Peak Sheep Station” for dinner and a sheep dog demonstration. Visit the wine & fruit region in Cromwell.  A stop will be made at the home of the original Bungee Jumping site. Visit Arrowtown, made famous by the ‘gold rush’ in this region.  [Breakfast daily & Dinner]

Day 12 & 13: Jan 21 & 22, 2027: QUEENSTOWN ~ MILFORD SOUND ~ TE ANAU ~ DUNEDIN, NZ
The journey today will follow along the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu and past sheep and deer farms on the way to Te Anau. Enter Fjordland's National Park, crossing over mountain passes and through scenic valleys enroute to Milford Sound.  Enjoy a luncheon cruise in this breath-taking fjord, watch for numerous fur seals sunning themselves on the rocks and also view numerous waterfalls.  Traveling to the Gore region and visit a local farm including cattle, located in the rolling countryside. Continue into the Scottish city of Dunedin, known as the Edinburgh of New Zealand.  Visit to “Baldwin Street”, the world's steepest residential street with an opportunity to climb up the street if you so wish.    [Breakfast daily, 1 lunch and 2 dinners]

Day 14 & 15: Jan 23 & 24, 2027: DUNEDIN ~ MT COOK REGION ~ ASHBURTON, NZ
The next few days will include visits to "Moeraki Boulders", mysteriously spherical stones scattered across a beach, Waitaki River Valley past the hydro lakes and irrigation schemes that have transformed the lower country from dryland to dairying. View a salmon farm in the hydro canal.  View the stunning aqua blue hydro lakes of Pukaki and Tekapo, the source of the majority of New Zealand’s electricity. Continue onto the Geraldine area with a farm visit.  Visit a rural store known for some of the most extensive range of quality New Zealand-made merino woolen products for sale.  Visit to a local machinery dealership.  Arrive Ashburton for a two-night stay, located on the Canterbury Plains, a major area utilizing irrigation farming and the bread bowl region of New Zealand.  [B/L/D daily]

Day 16: Jan 25, 2027: ASHBURTON/CANTERBURY PLAINS, NZ
Visit multiple farms on the Canterbury Plains including a dairy operation, arable farms, cattle, all located on the largest area of flat land in New Zealand, with approximately 500,000ha of irrigated land. Irrigation makes varied land-use possible.  Depending on conditions, perhaps a chance to see arable crops being harvested.   [B/D]

Day 17: Jan 26, 2027: ASHBURSTON ~ CHRISTCHURCH, NZ
Travel to Christchurch with a visit to the port region as well as tour of this beautiful city. No visit would be complete without a stroll through the Botanic Gardens. This afternoon arrive hotel for the night. [B]

Day 18: Jan 27, 2027: NEW ZEALAND - PAPEETE, TAHITI
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for flight to Tahiti. Overnight in Tahiti. [B/IFM]

Day 19: Jan 28, 2027: PAPEETE, TAHITI
Embarkation begins at 1:00 PM in Papeete, the vibrant capital of French Polynesia. Take time to settle into your stateroom and explore the ship before departure.
Departure at 5:30 PM. Enjoy a welcome dinner as you sail into the South Pacific.

Day 20 – Jan 29, 2027: AT SEA
Relax and enjoy a full day at sea. Attend enrichment lectures, unwind by the pool, or take part in onboard activities.

Day 21 – Jan 30, 2027: FAKARAVA, TUAMOTU (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Explore this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, known for its pristine lagoons and extraordinary marine life. Snorkel, dive, or stroll through the charming village.

Day 22 – Jan 31, 2027: AT SEA
A perfect day to rest and recharge while sailing toward the remote Marquesas Islands.

Day 23 – Feb 1, 2027 OMOA, FATU HIVA, MARQUESAS (9:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
Visit this lush volcanic island, famed for dramatic cliffs and artisan woodcarving. Experience traditional Marquesan culture in the small village of Omoa.

Day 24 – Feb 2, 2027: ATUONA, HIVA OA, MARQUESAS (8:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
Discover the rugged beauty of Hiva Oa, final resting place of artist Paul Gauguin and singer Jacques Brel. Visit the Gauguin Cultural Center or hike the verdant hills.

Day 25 – Feb 3, 2027: TAIOHAE, NUKU HIVA, MARQUESAS (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Explore the largest of the Marquesas, with its cathedral, archaeological sites, and stunning bays framed by jagged volcanic peaks.

Day 26 – Feb 4, 2027: AT SEA
Enjoy another day at leisure as the ship sails back toward the Tuamotus.

Day 27 – Feb 5, 2027 | RANGIROA (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
One of the world’s largest atolls, Rangiroa offers crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling, diving, or visiting a pearl farm.

Day 28 – Feb 6, 2027: AT SEA
A day to relax and savor the ship’s amenities, perhaps with a cooking demonstration, spa treatment, or simply watching the endless horizon.

Day 29 – Feb 7, 2027: MOTU MAHAEA, TAHA’S (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Anchor at a private motu (islet) for a day of swimming, snorkeling, and Polynesian hospitality. Enjoy a beach barbecue with fresh island flavors.

Day 30 – Feb 8, 2027: BORA BORA (Arrive 8:00 AM)
Two days to enjoy the “Pearl of the Pacific.” Take a lagoon cruise, swim with rays and reef sharks, or simply relax at an overwater bungalow.

Day 31 – Feb 9, 2027: BORA BORA (Depart 5:00 PM)
A final morning to soak up Bora Bora’s beauty before setting sail for Moorea.

Day 32 – Feb 10, 2027: MOOREA (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Discover Moorea’s dramatic mountain peaks, pineapple plantations, and turquoise lagoons. Excursions may include a 4x4 safari, hiking, or snorkeling.
Evening arrival in Papeete at 8:00 PM.

Day 33 – Feb 11, 2027 | PAPEETE, TAHITI
Disembarkation begins at 8:00 AM. Extend your stay in Tahiti or transfer to the airport for your journey home.
