ITINERARY
Day 01: Sunday, May 31, 2026: Depart Canada – Edinburgh, Scotland [IFM]
Depart Canada for an overnight flight to Edinburgh.
Day 02: Monday, June 01, 2026: Edinburgh – Pitlochry, Scotland [L/D]
Arrive to the Edinburgh International Airport. Meet with your local guide, driver and coach. Transfer to the countryside, to Perthshire. Enjoy a farm visit – a traditional farm that maintains its own herd of pedigree Charolais cattle, which have been bred on the farm since 1969. Continue to a pea, beans, soft fruits, potatoes, cereals farm. This farm have long-standing trusted suppliers to some of the world’s major retailers including Aldi, Marks & Spencer and Tesco. Transfer to Pitlochry and check into your hotel for two nights.
Day 03: Tuesday, June 02, 2026: Pitlochry, Scotland [B/D]
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy free time in Pitlochry to explore on your own. Visit to Blair Castle & Gardens, the historic home of the Dukes of Atholl, is a stunning landmark in Perthshire, Scotland, surrounded by extensive gardens and grounds, including a nine-acre walled garden, a wooded grove, and a red deer park. Afternoon farm visit to a 30,000 acre farm with over 800 Blackface ewes and 145 spring calving cows. Dinner at hotel this evening.
Day 04: Wednesday, June 03, 2026: Pitlochry – Aviemore – Inverness, Scotland [B/D]
Breakfast at the hotel before a morning farm visit to a large deer and forestry farm. Afternoon visit to Tilly’s Reindeer Farm. Meet with Tilly Smith for a tour of her reindeer farm established over 50 years ago, predominantly bred for meat but also for countrywide Christmas events! Dinner and overnight in Inverness.
Day 05: Thursday, June 04, 2026: Inverness – Balmacara, Scotland [B/D]
Breakfast at the hotel before a visit to a family run dairy farm/cheese processing. The organic dairy herd of 150 cows, mostly Holstein Friesian with Jersey crosses and Norwegian Reds and they graze the luscious clover pastures around the dairy. Transfer to Balmacara for dinner and overnight, your home for the next two nights.
Day 06: Friday, June 05, 2026: Balmacara – Isle of Skye – Balmacara [B/D]
Breakfast at the hotel before transferring to Portree. Free time in Portree, the capital town on the Isle of Skye. Portree is the main village on Skye and is location in the centre of the Island in the Highlands of Scotland. Afternoon visit to Kilt Rock for a photo stop. A striking sea cliff on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, is known for its basalt columns that resemble the pleats of a traditional Scottish kilt, offering breathtaking views and a popular tourist attraction. Scenic transfer to Duntulm Castle for a private visit. Dinner and overnight in Balmacara.
Day 07: Saturday, June 06, 2026: Balmacara – Loch Ness – Stirling, Scotland [B/D]
Breakfast at the hotel before a transfer to a Loch Ness Cruise for a two-hour adventure. Your voyage will include a one-hour cruise across the mysterious waters of Loch Ness. You’ll then hop ashore for a one-hour visit to explore historic Urquhart Castle and its turbulent past. An afternoon farm visit to a sheep farm, one of the few remaining hill sheep farms at the north end of Loch Lomond. Transfer to Stirling for dinner and overnight.
Day 08: Sunday, June 07, 2026: Stirling – Edinburgh, Scotland [B/D]
A morning visit to Stirling United Auctions, Scotland's leading livestock auctioneers and procurement specialists operating a network of auction marts throughout Scotland. Continue to Stirling Castle for a tour. Transfer to the Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift in Tamfourhill, Falkirk. Transfer to The Kelpies for a photo stop before arriving to Edinburgh for a dinner and overnight.
Day 09: Monday, June 08, 2026: Edinburgh, Scotland [B/D]
A morning walking tour of Edinburgh with local Blue Badge Guide ending at Edinburgh Castle. Visit to Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Castle is a historic castle in Edinburgh, Scotland. It stands on Castle Rock, which has been occupied by humans since at least the Iron Age. Afternoon farm visit to a thriving soft fruit and vegetable farm. Final dinner tonight will be a traditional Scottish Ceilidh with entertainment. Overnight in Edinburgh.
Day 10: Tuesday, June 09, 2026: Edinburgh – Home or Dublin, Ireland
Transfer to Edinburgh International Airport for flight to Canada or Dublin, Ireland for the Select Holidays Ireland Farm Tour.
