See the unique show…"How the Andalusian Horses Dance", an equestrian ballet accompanied by quintessential Spanish music and 18th century style costumes. Lunch at a local restaurant then visit a Sherry wine cellar and see the exciting world of the Sherry wines as well as enjoy the best native horse of Jerez de la Frontera and to complete the visit, what better than a walk along the best contemporary art in their Art Gallery, finishing the visit with a tasting of their wines. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 05: March 14, 2018: SEVILLE - RONDA - COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN [B/L/D]
Enjoy breakfast at hotel then travel to Ronda for some sightseeing of the city, famous as the birthplace of modern bullfighting. It has a superbly dramatic location, and owes its name (‘surrounded’ by mountains), to the encircling Serranía de Ronda. Visit a winery of Ronda's wines including lunch. This afternoon, drive to Costa del Sol for a two night stay. The area’s history dates back to the Phoenicians and has since been inhabited by Greeks, Romans and Moors, all of whom have left their mark on the architecture and culture of the region. The Costa del Sol is as much steeped in culture as any other region of Andalucia; from Picasso, to bullfighting, flamenco to the colourful ferias, the region has an immense cultural offering.
Day 06: March 15, 2018: COSTA DEL SOL - MALAGA - COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN [B/D]
After breakfast, depart for Malaga for sightseeing. Málaga is a world apart from the adjoining Costa del Sol: a historic and culturally rich provincial capital. The tastefully restored historic centre is a delight: its Gothic cathedral is surrounded by narrow pedestrian streets flanked by traditional and modern bars, and shops that range from idiosyncratic and family owned, to urban-chic and contemporary. Cast your eyes up to enjoy a skyline that reflects the city’s eclectic character; church spires jostle for space with russet-red tiled roofs and lofty apartment buildings while, like a grand old dame, the 11th-century Gibralfaro castle sits grandly aloft and provides the best view of all. Free afternoon. Travel back to Costa del Sol and enjoy dinner at the hotel this evening.
Day 07: March 16, 2018: COSTA DEL SOL - GRANADA, SPAIN [B/L/D]
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to a Tropical Fruit cooperative. Drive towards Granada and enjoy a Granada city tour. Visit the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens before enjoying a Tapas lunch. Afternoon at leisure. This evening enjoy dinner in a "Gypsy Cave" with Flamenco show.
Day 08: March 17, 2018: GRANADA - CORDOBA - MADRID, SPAIN [B/L/D]
Drive to Cordoba and take in some sightseeing of the city including the Cathedral of Cordoba. Cordoba was founded by the Romans and due to its strategic importance as the highest navigable point of the Guadalquivir River, it became a port city of great importance, used for shipping Spanish olive oil, wine and wheat back to Ancient Rome. Later on, take a "High Speed Train" to Madrid for a two night stay.
Day 09: March 18, 2018: MADRID, SPAIN [B/L/D]
A morning city tour of Madrid including lunch. Free afternoon to explore Madrid, Spain's central capital, a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro, followed by a "Farewell Dinner" at a local restaurant.
Day 10: March 19, 2018: END OF TOUR [B/IFM]
