DAY 01: March 20, 2019: [IFM]
Depart North America on an overnight flight into Seville, Spain.
DAY 02: March 21, 2019: SEVILLE, SPAIN [B/IFM]
Arrive Seville, Spain and transfer to the hotel for a 3-night stay. Dinner will be at the hotel.
Day 03: March 22, 2019: SEVILLE, SPAIN [B/L/D]
After breakfast, learn about the fascinating world of the preparation of the famed Iberian ham. You will see how traditional and natural practices are still used in the production of the finest quality hams. Lunch will include a taste of local product, cured cheese, local home-made cakes and a selection of local wines. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Seville including admission to the Cathedral. Return to the hotel later this afternoon and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 04: March 23, 2019: SEVILLE - GIBRALTAR [B/L/D]
Breakfast at the hotel then visit the Royal School of Equestrian Art to see the unique show called "How the Andalusian Horses Dance". It is an equestrian ballet accompanied by quintessential Spanish music and 18th century style costumes. Lunch at a local restaurant then visit a Sherry wine cellar and see the exciting world of the Sherry wines as well as their unique Art Gallery. Finishing the visit with a tasting of their Sherry wines. Travel to Gibraltar for the night.
Day 05: March 24, 2019: GIBRALTAR – MALAGA, SPAIN [B/D]
With its unique location at the mouth of the Mediterranean and its proximity to Africa, Gibraltar has played a vital role in defensive military strategy for centuries. See Europa Point, the Pillars of Hercules, St. Michaels Cave, and O'Hara's Battery. Visit the Great Siege Tunnels, WW2 Tunnels and the Moorish Castle. Depart for Malaga for a 2-night stay.
Day 06: March 25, 2019: MALAGA, SPAIN [B/D]
A morning walking tour of Malaga is a historic and culturally rich provincial capital. The tastefully restored historic center is a delight with the Gothic cathedral surrounded by narrow pedestrian streets flanked by traditional and modern bars, and shops. Afternoon is at leisure to explore on your own. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 07: March 26, 2019: MALAGA - GRANADA, SPAIN [B/L/D]
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to an avocado cooperative. Drive to Granada for lunch then visit the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. This evening enjoy dinner in a "Gypsy Cave" with Flamenco show.
Day 08: March 27, 2019: GRANADA - CORDOBA - MADRID, SPAIN [B/L/D]
Drive to Cordoba for sightseeing of the city including the Cathedral of Cordoba. Founded by the Romans and due to its strategic location on the Guadalquivir River, Cordoba became a port city of great importance, for shipping Spanish olive oil, wine and wheat back to Ancient Rome. Later today take the "High Speed Train" to Madrid for a 2-night stay
Day 09: March 28, 2019: MADRID, SPAIN [B/L/D]
After breakfast, depart for Madrid for sightseeing and lunch. Free afternoon before a “Farewell Dinner” this evening.
Day 10: March 29, 2019: END OF TOUR [B/IFM]
Following breakfast the hotel, check out and transfer to the Madrid Airport and the flight back to North America.
