Join Select Holidays on our hosted agriculture tour of Brazil & Argentina.   You will visit the largest inland grain handling system, where farmers have their grain hauled to for export.  The pampas of Argentina produce vast amounts of soy beans, corn, and sunflower as well as lush pasture for the cattle farms in the area.  The amazing Iguacu Falls in Brazil will leave you breathless and the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro will amaze you with sights from the Olympics plus much more.  You will return home with the great memories of experiencing the farming in these countries as well as the deep culture.

Day 1: Jan. 28, 2019:  Depart North America
This is an overnight flight  from North America into Rio de Janeiro.    [IFM]

Day 2: Jan 29, 2019: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Upon arrival, clear Customs then transfer to a beachfront hotel for an early check-in for a 2-night stay.  Balance of day is free to enjoy the hotel and Copacabana Beach that is right outside the front door of the hotel. [IFM/D] 

Day 3: Jan 30, 2019: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The morning visit Sugar Loaf Mountain, rising 396 m above the harbor.  Its name is said to come from its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated refined loaf of sugar.  A glass-paneled cable car offers 360-degree views of the surrounding city.  This afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Rio will include the cathedral, Olympic sites and "Christ the Redeemer" statue, 98 feet tall at 2,300 feet above sea  level and watching over the city of Rio.  This is truly an amazing site. Dinner this evening at hotel.  [B/D]

Day 04: Jan 31, 2019:  Rio de Janeiro – Ponta Grossa, Brazil
Early morning departure from the hotel and transfer to the airport for a flight to Curitiba, Brazil.  After arriving into Curitaba, drive to Ponta Grossa.  Enroute visit a grain farm as well as a machine dealership. Transfer to hotel  for an overnight stay. [B/L/D]

Day 05: Feb 01, 2019:  Ponta Grossa - Curitiba, Brazil
Following breakfast at hotel, visit one of the local dairy farms in the area.  Later, visit the Dutch  Pioneer Park  for tour and lunch.  This afternoon visit another large grain farm operation before checking into hotel for a 2-night stay. Dinner will be on your own this evening.  [B/L]

Day 06: Feb 02, 2019:  Curitiba, Brazil
Today, visit a local and state run market, then proceed to Paranagua’s Port, the most important port in  Brazil, especially for the shipment of soy beans and poultry.  Visit the harbour via a boat cruise then return to Curitiba for the night.

Day 07: Feb 03, 2019:  Curitaba-Foz do Iguacu, Brazil
Breakfast at hotel and a morning visit the Botanical Gardens.  Transfer to the airport for a flight to Foz do Iquacu, on the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls.  Visit the “Pasco Das Aves” Bird Park then check into a resort hotel for a 4-night stay.   [B/D]

Day 08 - Feb 04, 2019:  Iguazu Falls, Brazil
Visit the Brazilian side of the falls followed by a boat ride under the falls. (Warning, you will get wet). Return to hotel with the balance of the day at leisure.  You can go for dinner when you choose to eat.   [B/L/D]

Day 09 - Feb 05, 2019:  Iguazu Falls, Brazil
|This day is spent at the “Coopavel Farm Show” one of the largest farm shows in South America. Return back to hotel and once more choose when you want to go for dinner.  [B/D]

Day 10 - Feb 06,  2019:  Iguazu Falls, Brazil
Following breakfast at hotel, travel into the countryside to view the Itaipu Dam, the second largest hydro electric dam in the world. Visit a local farm in the region before returning back to hotel.  This afternoon take a helicopter ride over the falls for a birds-eye view of this magnificent natural wonder.  This evening enjoy a dinner and Cultural show as a Farewell to Brazil. Day 11 - Feb 07, 2019:  Iguazu Falls, Brazil - Rosario,  Argentina
This morning cross the border between Brazil and Argentina.  If time permits, view the “Falls” from the Argentina side before transferring to the      airport for your flight to Rosario, Argentina and a 2-night stay. Rosario is a large grain port city on the Parana River.   [B/D]

Day 12 - Feb 08, 2019:  Rosario, Argentina
Following breakfast at hotel visit two local farms in the region with lunch at a local restaurant.  Return to hotel for the night. [B/L/D]

Day 13 - Feb 09, 2019:  Rosario - Buenos Aires,  Argentina
Your drive today takes you south towards the city of Buenos Aires.  As you drive through the country side, a stop will be made at an Angus Cattle farm.  Upon arrival into Buenos Aires, check into hotel for a 2-night stay. [B/L]

Day 14 - Feb. 10, 2019:  Rosario - Buenos Aires, Argentina
This morning enjoy a city tour including the colorful Boca area of the city.  Following lunch, return to hotel for a leisurely afternoon. This  evening you are entertained at a Tango Show and Dinner.   [B/L/D]
NOTE:  This will be a late evening.

Day 15 - Feb 11, 2019:  Buenos Aires, Argentina - Airport
Free morning before transferring to the airport for your return flight to North America. [B/IFM]

Day 16 - Feb 12, 2019: End of Tour
