This morning we arrive at Mykonos, one of the most recognizable and picturesque of the Greek islands. Famous for its whitewashed buildings, blue-domed churches, narrow cobblestone lanes and beautiful waterfront, Mykonos captures the classic image of the Greek Isles. Enjoy time exploring Mykonos Town, where winding pedestrian streets lead past boutiques, cafés, churches and traditional homes decorated with colourful doors and balconies. Today we cross into Turkey and arrive at the port of Kusadasi, gateway to the extraordinary ancient city of Ephesus. Day 08: October 10, 2027:‍ ‍Patmos, Greece from 8am until 6pm
Return to Greece today as we arrive at the peaceful island of Patmos, a destination known for both its natural beauty and its important religious history. Patmos is traditionally associated with St. John, who is believed to have written the Book of Revelation while living on the island. Visitors can explore the Cave of the Apocalypse and the historic Monastery of St. John, dramatically situated above the island. There will also be time to enjoy Patmos itself, with its traditional villages, quiet beaches, scenic coastline and relaxed island atmosphere. The smaller scale of Patmos makes it particularly well suited to the intimate style of cruising offered aboard Wind Surf. [B/L/D onboard cruise]

Day 09: October 11, 2027: Santorini, Greece from 8am until 9pm
Few arrivals in the Mediterranean are as spectacular as sailing into Santorini. Created by an enormous ancient volcanic eruption, the island rises dramatically from the Aegean Sea, with brilliant white villages perched high along the cliffs overlooking the caldera. Explore the beautiful village of Oia, famous for its whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and magnificent views, or spend time in Fira, the island’s lively capital. Santorini also has a fascinating agricultural story. Its volcanic soils and dry climate have resulted in unique farming techniques, particularly in the production of grapes and wine. The island is especially known for its Assyrtiko grapes, along with tomatoes, capers and other crops adapted to the challenging environment. [B/L/D onboard cruise]

Day 10: October 12, 2027: Monemvasia, Greece from 9am until 6pm
Today we discover one of Greece’s lesser-known treasures, Monemvasia, a spectacular medieval fortress town located on a massive rock rising from the sea off the Peloponnese coast. Connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway, the historic settlement is hidden behind ancient stone walls. Enter through the old gateway and explore a maze of narrow cobblestone lanes lined with Byzantine churches, stone houses, small shops and inviting cafés. The combination of medieval architecture, dramatic coastal scenery and a quieter atmosphere makes Monemvasia a wonderful contrast to Greece’s more famous islands. [B/L/D onboard cruise]

Nafplio served as the first capital of modern Greece and today features an appealing combination of neoclassical architecture, colourful buildings, waterfront cafés and narrow streets. Rising dramatically above the town is Palamidi Fortress, offering impressive views across the surrounding countryside and Argolic Gulf. The region surrounding Nafplio is also one of Greece’s important agricultural areas, particularly known for citrus fruit, olives and vineyards. Depending upon the touring arrangements, today offers an excellent opportunity to combine Greece’s agricultural heritage with visits to some of the Peloponnese’s important historic sites, including ancient Epidaurus or Mycenae.
