Day 01 - Jan 13, 2022:  Thu- FLYING TO NEW ZEALAND
The tour begins with a flight from Canada/USA into New Zealand. [IFM]

Day 02 -Jan 14, 2022:  Fri - LOSE THIS DAY
This is a lost day because of the International Date Line.  You will cross over the International Date Line once more and gain a day back on your return home.

Day 03 - Jan 15, 2022:  Sat – AUCKLAND ~ CHRISTCHURCH/ASHBURTON, NZ
A morning flight to Christchurch, on the South Island.  A city tour of Christchurch including a visit to the Botanical Gardens, a must see.  Continue south to the rural community of Ashburton for the night including dinner.  Opportunity to walk on your own to visit the local John Deere and/or Case IH dealership.   [B/D]

Day 04 - Jan 16, 2022:  Sun – ASHBURTON ~ QUEENSTOWN, NZ
Continue on to the Geraldine area, a beautiful, sub alpine village in Canterbury New Zealand. View Mount Cook, the tallest mountain in New Zealand. Drive through the wine region & visit a fruit stand in Cromwell.  A stop will be made at the home of the original Bungee Jumping site, before you check into a centrally located hotel for a 2-night stay. Dinner this evening overlooking Queenstown with amazing views.       [B/D]

Day 05 - Jan 17, 2022:  Mon – QUEENSTOWN, NZ
Travel along the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy for a visit.  Afternoon is free to explore on your own.  This evening, enjoy a relaxing cruise on the historic coal-fired steamer, the “SS Earnslaw”, crossing to the “Walter Peak Sheep Station” for dinner and a sheep dog demonstration.  Return to Queenstown for the night.      [B/D]

Day 06 - Jan 18, 2022: Tue - QUEENSTOWN ~ TE ANAU, NZ
The journey today will follow along the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu and past sheep and deer farms on the way to Te Anau. From there, enter Fiordland's National Park, crossing over mountain passes and through scenic valleys enroute to Milford Sound.  Enjoy a luncheon cruise in this breath-taking fjord, watch for numerous fur seals sunning themselves on the rocks and also view numerous waterfalls.  Return to Te Anau for an overnight stay.     [B/L]

Day 07 - Jan 19, 2022: Wed - TE ANAU ~ DUNEDIN, NZ
Traveling towards the Gore area, you visit a local dairy located in the rolling countryside and have lunch before continuing unto the Scottish city of Dunedin for an overnight stay.  Known as the Edinburgh of New Zealand, Dunedin wears the country's Scottish heritage with pride. A visit to “Baldwin Street”, the world's steepest residential street with an opportunity to climb up the street if you so wish.  Dinner at the hotel this evening. [B/TEA/D]

Day 08 - Jan 20, 2022:  Thu – DUNEDIN ~ ASHBURTON, NZ  ~ HOME STAY
This morning you will visit the "Moeraki Boulders", mysteriously spherical stones scattered across a beach, and each weighing several tonnes and some up to two metres high.  A microbrewery lunch and tasting before and visit to a local farm.  Continue along the coast towards Ashburton.  Visit the “Tin Shed" with probably New Zealand's most extensive range of quality New Zealand-made merino woolen products for sale.  Meet your host family for the night. Day 09 - Jan 21, 2022:  Fri - ASHBURTON ~ CHRISTCHURCH, NZ
Today you visit a wheat and white clover farm as well as a dairy operation.  The Canterbury Plains, a major area utilizing irrigation farming and the bread bowl region of New Zealand. Continue into Christchurch and overnight at a hotel near the airport, due to the early morning flight for those traveling onto Australia the next day.  [B/L]

Day 10 - Jan 22, 2022: Sat - CHRISTCHURCH, NZ ~ CAIRNS, AU
Early morning flight from Christchurch, New Zealand and fly to the tropical city of Cairns, Australia for a 4-night stay.  Upon your arrival into Cairns, clear Australian Customs then transfer to the hotel with the balance of the day at leisure to get acquainted with the hotel and enjoy the pool.    [IFM]

Day 11 - Jan 23, 2022: Sun – CAIRNS, AU
Following breakfast, travel to “Freshwater Train Station” to board the “Kuranda Rail” for a scenic train journey up the mountainside to “Kuranda Station” and a visit to the Kuranda village.  The picturesque mountain village is surrounded by the “World Heritage Rainforest”.  Later, board the “Skyrail Rainforest Cableway”, the world’s longest gondola, for an epic aerial ride over the rainforest canopy as you make your way back down the mountain and visit “Tjapukai Aboriginal Park” for a dance and boomerang throwing performance.  It is both an entertaining spectacle, and an educational experience for everyone.  This evening, take time to explore the foreshore promenade and shop at local markets, eat tropical fruits and seafood.  [B]

Day 12 - Jan 24, 2022: Mon – CAIRNS, AU
Drive onto the “Atherton Tablelands” where sugarcanes, bananas, tea and peanut farms supply the main income.  Visit the “Giant Fig Tree” followed by lunch at Lake Barrine, a lake formed by an extinct volcano.  Visit a mango and avocado farm before returning to Cairns later in the afternoon. [B/L]

Day 13 - Jan 25, 2022: Tue – CAIRNS, AU
A fast 45-minute catamaran ride will take you to beautiful Green Island to enjoy this unique coral reef, which is situated on part of the “Great Barrier Reef" - one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.  Enjoy a glass bottom boat ride over the coral as well as a lunch on the island before returning back to Cairns.  [B/L]

Day 14 - Jan 26, 2022: Wed – CAIRNS - BRISBANE, AU
Depart Cairns and fly to Brisbane.  Free time in afternoon to explore Brisbane on your own.  [B]
Note:  This is “Australia Day” and tonight there will be fireworks.

Day 15 - Jan 27, 2022: Thu – BRISBANE - DALBY, AU
Visit the “Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary this morning where you can see the koalas and the kangaroos. Depart the sanctuary and drive west, over the Great Dividing Range to the agricultural community of Dalby for a 2-night stay.  Dalby is a town in the Darling Downs region and is approximately 208 km west of Brisbane. This area is where wheat, sorghum, cotton and pulse crops are grown as well as the production of lamb, beef and pork.  This evening enjoy a typical Australian pub-style dinner.    [B/D]

Day 16 - Jan 28, 2022: Fri - DALBY, AU
Visit a large feedlot operation followed by a visit to a large family run grain farm.  The Dalby region is known for its large style rural operations and is the central agricultural community in this region.  The evening is free to explore on your own. [B]

Day 17 - Jan 29, 2022: Sat – DALBY - SYDNEY, AU
Travel to Toowoomba, situated at the top of the Great Dividing Range to fly to Sydney, the vibrant capital of New South Wales. Take a tour of the world-famous “Sydney Opera House” before checking into the hotel, situated on the Darling Harbour, for a 2-night stay.  [B]

Day 18 - Jan 30, 2022: Sun – SYDNEY, AU
Enjoy a morning cruise on the world's most beautiful Harbour, Sydney Harbour. The beauty and splendor of Sydney Harbour is something that must be experienced first-hand - no picture or video can do justice to it. The afternoon and evening is free to explore on your own. [B]

Day 19 - Jan 31, 2022: Mon– SYDNEY - MELBOURNE/BALLARAT, AU
From Sydney, fly to Melbourne and transfer to the farming community of Ballarat and check into the hotel for a 2-night stay.  Ballarat is Victoria's largest inland city, a thriving hub of contemporary arts, events and food and wine, with a fascinating heritage backdrop.   [B/D]

Day 20 - Feb 01, 2022: Tue – BALLARAT, AU
Today’s farm visits will include a visit to a sheep sales yard as well as a potato farm.  Enjoy a dinner show this evening at historic Sovereign Hill. Sovereign Hill is where Australia’s history comes to life! It’s just like stepping back in time.   [B/L/D]

Day 21 - Feb 02, 2022: Wed – BALLARAT ~ BORDERTOWN, AU
Travel through the region, known as the “Victorian Wheat Belt”.   This afternoon visit to a carrot farm followed by a visit to a large scale  cereal grain operation. The small farming community of Bordertown is home base for the night.  [B/L/D]

Day 22 - Feb 03, 2022: Thu – BORDERTOWN ~ ADELAIDE/GLENELG, AU
This morning, visit a seed cleaning operation then continue into Murray Bridge. This afternoon, travel onto Adelaide Glenelg for an overnight stay. Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia and the fifth largest Australian capital city. The city of Adelaide is surrounded by the hills on the east, and over 70 kilometres of coastline on the west. Glenelg is a beach-side suburb of the South Australian capital of Adelaide. [B/D]

Day 23 - Feb 04, 2022: Fri - ADELAIDE, AU ~ END OF TOUR
This morning, transfer to the Adelaide International Airport for the flights back to North America.  [B/IFM]
