Itinerary

March 12, 2024 - Delhi/ Cochin
Depart Delhi to fly to Cochin in the south of India. Cochin is a major port city on the Arabian Sea and considered one of the top tourist destinations in India. A half day city tour will include visits to the Dutch Palace, the Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church. Overnight in Cochin [B/L/D]

March 13, 2024 - Cochin/ Periyar
Travel to Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary to enjoy an afternoon game run via a boat-ride on Lake Periyar to view the wild-life. This man-made lake adds to the natural beauty and is located in the heart of a 300-sq. miles wild life sanctuary. As you sail, you might spot elephants, deer or bison stopping at the shores of the lake for a drink. Leopards and Tigers also pad up to the lake for water. Overnight at the hotel in Periyar. [B/L/D]

March 14, 2024 - Periyar/ Kumarakom
A morning visit to a Spice Plantation. This is where cinnamon, ginger, sage, nutmeg and vanilla (just to name a few) comes from, as well as coffees and teas. This afternoon depart for Kumarakom and an overnight stay. Kumarakon is a popular tourist destination on Vembanad Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the state of Kerala. It is also home to a wide variety of bird life, flora and fauna. The main economy is fishing, agriculture and tourism. [B/L/D]

March 15, 2024 - Kumarakon
This is a free day to enjoy the hotel and area or to just relax. [B/L/D]

March 16, 2024 - Houseboat
This morning board a house boat for an overnight trip. The modern houseboats are similar to any luxury hotel on land and on this journey, every view is worth remembering and every experience worth reliving. The spectacular lagoon is surrounded by coconut trees that have become icons of the area. There are bird sanctuaries to see along the shores and the village life has the attraction of simplicity and old-age world. The land of swaying palm trees and blue waters and skies, has been aptly named as 'God's own country'. [B/L/D]

March 17, 2024 - Kovalam
Arrive in Alleppey in the morning and disembark the houseboat. Drive to Kovalam and check into hotel for a free afternoon and an overnight stay. [B/L/D]

March 18, 2024 - Kovalam
Morning tour to visit Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple, Nepier Museum, Chitralayam Arts Gallery, Zoological Gardens, Reptile House and Shasti Purthi Memorial, (state handicraft institute). Later this afternoon is at leisure. [B/L/D]

March 19, 2024 - End of Tour
Transfer to the Trivandrum Airport to flight back to North America OR add a visit to South India. CLICK HERE for more details.
