Day 1 - June 14, 2022: Depart North America
Depart North America for an overnight flight into Vilnius, Lithuania. [IFM]

Day 2 - June 15, 2022: Vilnius, Lithuania
Arrive Vilnius, Lithuania and transfer to hotel. After a time of refreshing, enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening. [D]

Day 3 - June 16, 2022: Vilnius, Lithuania
Following breakfast, you will have a city tour of Vilnius. You will see the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Stanislaus and Vladislaus, the main symbol and spiritual centre of the Lithuanian people, as well as a monument to the Baptism of Lithuania, old town, Jewish ghetto, churches, and city hall. After lunch, continue to Trakai. The Old Town is situated west of Vilnius between the hills, forests and lakes. This town, famous for its picturesque landscape and the legendary Trakai Castle, was a cradle of the Lithuanian statehood, an important military and political centre and headquarters of the Lithuanian Grand Dukes. You have an Optional yacht/boat sailing in Galve Lake with castle view.  Enjoy dinner with traditional food before heading back to Vilnius.   [B/L/D]

Day 4 - June 17, 2022: Kaunas, Lithuania
Your travels today will take you to visit a 150 ha certified organic family farm which specializes in growing oats, wheat, peas and rape. They have some Highland breed beef cattle, poultry, red deer and their own silo for grain storage.  Next you will visit Pazaislis Monastery and church of the Visitation situated near Kaunas Marios reservoir. The monastery complex founded by monks of Camaldolese is one of the most beautiful examples of Baroque architecture in North and East Europe. After you check into your hotel, you will have a short City Tour. The city is the second largest city in Lithuania and the historical centre of economic, academic, and cultural life. In the Russian Empire, it was the capital of the Kaunas Governorate from 1843 to 1915. Tonight, dinner will be a traditional Lithuanian dinner.    [B/L/D]

Day 5 - June 18, 2022: Panevezys, Lithuania
Another farm visit awaits you today.   First visit is to a family that raises Limousine cattle. After lunch, you will visit a farm where the main crops are white cabbages and carrots. The parents work 140 ha land and the daughter produces juice. Visit a family bakery where you will learn about the bakery activities including the traditional black bread workshop. You will enjoy dinner this evening in the bakery, with folk music and dances. Check into hotel for an overnight stay. [B/L/D]

Day 6 - June 19, 2022: Riga, Latvia
You will start the day visiting a UNESCO sight. Cross-crafting and its symbolism in Lithuania, a unique cultural tradition, without analogues in the world, in 2001 was listed by UNESCO among the masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. One of the most significant monuments - now the world famous Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai - features thousands of crosses and has become a symbol of Lithuanian cross-crafting. For your lunch, you will be in a restaurant owned by arable farmers in Latvia. Following lunch, you will visit a big agro company that operates a dairy operation, arable land, brewery and studs with about 1200 cows and 5000 ha. There will be a short stop to meet young farmers who are growing sea buckthorns used for cosmetics and food.  Arrive in Riga and transfer to hotel, followed by dinner. [B/L/D]

Day 7 - June 20, 2022: Riga, Latvia
After breakfast, visit the Central Market, one of the largest markets in Northern Europe. This will be followed by a city tour of Riga - Riga castle, defensive wall and Swedish gate, “Three brothers“ house, Domas Cathedral and monastery, City Hall, Statue of Liberty. Rest of the day at leisure until dinner this evening in a medieval restaurant. [B/D]

Day 8 - June 21, 2022: Tallinn, Estonia
Depart this morning towards Tallinn, Estonia. Along the way, you will visit an organic cider house. Arrive in Tallinn and check into your hotel, followed by a city tour of Tallinn including the city wall and defense towers, thick Margaret Tower, Tompea Castle Aeksandr Nevsky Cathedral, Town Hall, the Knights of Blackheads Fraternity House, Oleviste church, House of “Three Sisters”. Dinner and overnight in Tallinn, Estonia. [B/L/D]

Day 9 - June 22, 2022: Tallinn, Estonia
Today is a day to spend at leisure. You will learn about folk art and visit a workshop.   [B/L]

Day 10 - June 23, 2022: End of Tour OR Russian River Cruise
This morning transfer to the Tallinn International Airport and your return flight to North America. [B/IFM]
