Designed by Canadians for Canadians, this special tour pays tribute to all who have served their country in the Great War and World War II. Take in the museums, memorials and special sites throughout France and Belgium that commemorate the contribution of Canadian soldiers during these two wars, including: the impressive and inspiring Canadian National Vimy Memorial at Vimy Ridge, the Canadian Cemeteries in Bény-sur-Mer and Dieppe, as well as the Newfoundland Memorial Park at Beaumont Hamel. Other destinations visited include the Landing Beaches of Normandy, the Juno Beach Memorial Centre & Park, Amiens and Ypres in Belgium.

  • PARIS - Welcome dinner with wine at a local restaurant; guided sightseeing including Dome des Invalides and the Military Museum

Day 1 - Paris, France: (D)
Arrive in the French capital; welcome dinner with wine at a local restaurant.
Airfare into Paris, France, is at an additional cost.

Day 2 - Paris: (B)
Guided sightseeing of the city highlights; visit Napoleon's Tomb inside the DOMES DES INVALIDES and the MILITARY MUSEUM.

Day 3 - PARIS–GIVERNY–NORMANDY AREA: (B/D)
Visit CLAUDE MONET'S HOME and GARDENS at Giverny; orientation in Caen.

Day 4 - NORMANDY AREA. EXCURSION TO THE LANDING BEACHES: (B)
Visit the MEMORIAL MUSEUM FOR PEACE, the CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY at Beny-sur-Mer, JUNO BEACH MEMORIAL CENTER, and ARDENNE ABBEY just outside Caen.

Day 5 - NORMANDY AREA–DIEPPE: (B)
Take pictures of the famous Pegasus Bridge which was critical to the success of the Normandy landing and visit the PEGASUS MUSEUM; cross the Normandy Bridge at Honfleur and visit the MUSEUM at the Canadian Cemetery in Dieppe.

Day 6 - DIEPPE–AMIENS–SOMME AREA: (B/D)
Visit the JUBILEE CENTER in Dieppe, the medieval CATHEDRAL and Memorial to Allied Forces in Amiens, and the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial.

Day 7 - SOMME AREA–VIMY RIDGE–YPRES, BELGIUM: (B/D)
Visit the WWI SITE and MEMORIAL at Vimy Ridge and walk along the trenches and tunnels; visit the INTERPRETIVE CENTER and Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery.

Day 8 - YPRES: (B)
Visit CLOTH HALL with its IN FLANDERS FIELDS MUSEUM; stop at Essex Farm Cemetery; guided sightseeing in Passchendaele including a visit to the Passchendaele CANADIAN MEMORIAL at Crest Farm; visit TYNE COT CEMETARY, the largest Commonwealth military graveyard in the world.

Day 9 - YPRES–PARIS, FRANCE: (B)
Time at leisure and a final overnight.

Day 10 - PARIS, FRANCE: (B)
Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning.
